PROGRAM:

Laimis Bartasūnas, a fitness trainer with many years of experience, will talk about the importance of choosing physical exercises in fitness and achieving greater goals in professional sport, the relevance of exercise for athletes, the development of physical characteristics, and the development of a fitness training plan. One of the most important things in sport, regardless of the sport chosen, the athletes’ level of fitness, motivation, emotions and many other factors, is the correlation between strength and speed, which is what we will be discussing in the seminar. We will emphasise the importance of the warm-up as an essential component in the physical activity process, which enriches every workout with health benefits. Warming up has many benefits, including improving physical fitness, joint flexibility and muscle readiness for activity. It contributes strongly to the athlete’s goals.

Program:

Structure and principles of programme design.
Preparation of soft tissues for exertion – activation.
Dynamic warm-up and its significance for the body. Components of warm-up.
Acceleration and deceleration.

Plyometric exercises can significantly improve an athlete’s or sports person’s high jump, agility and speed. The main goal of plyometrics is to maximise muscle strength while minimising the time required to generate that strength. Plyometric exercises develop the explosive power of human muscles. The workshop focuses on plyometrics and power training.

Program:

Plyometric progressions and regressions.
Power exercises with balls.
Power exercises with free weights.
Plyometrics and power training in groups

Choosing the right exercises is an important step in developing strength, endurance and other physical qualities. It is important to choose exercises based on body sensations and movement techniques that clearly reflect individual needs and capabilities. Correct selection of exercises prevents possible injuries and unnecessary loads.
Everyone is different and has different needs, physical limitations and pains, but it is important that everyone performs the basic, fundamental movement patterns such as landing, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving. With this in mind and in order to select the right exercises, it is recommended to use exercise progressions and regressions that are related to professional sport or fitness training. Progression means forward movement, improvement. It is necessary to achieve better results, to develop your potential. It encourages the body to adapt to new loads and contributes to the development of physical fitness. Regression is a reduction in the level of exercise or going backwards. This can occur due to injury, excessive exercise intensity or other reasons such as movement restrictions. Sometimes exercise regression is more important than progression and has very significant health benefits. It is important to understand that progression and regression are natural parts of the training process.

Program:

Upper body strength training – progressive exercise selection.
Lower body strength training – progressive exercise selection.
Waist control.
Selection of target exercises.
Training methods.
